how long ago was were eyes clouded mate ?

their eyes clear then they usually shed 5 to 10 days later

also a lot of carpets go off their food from roughly november to march due to that being their breeding season

i'm more concerned about her showing signs of a shed then not shedding

carpets have no specific humidity requirements they do just fine at room humidity in the uk

cheers shaun

Re: my carpet python

When the eyes clear up it means they will be shedding any day now.

Re: my carpet python

I wouldn't worry to much. Sometimes my Jungle takes awhile to shed. The clear eyes means your snakes gonna shed any day. Just keep the Humidity up in your snakes enclosure and it should have no problem getting the skin off. Hope everything goes well!

Re: my carpet python

Not sure what the ambient humidity is where you are but here it is about 50% so i dont mist my carpet and he has always shed in one piece. Think you are kinda inbetween me and shauny geographically and i know he doesnt mist his carpets either so you should be ok.

its all part of the shedding proccess mate

their eyes cloud up go blue then after a bit they clear up and look normal again

they usually shed 5 to 10 days after the eyes clear up

this is the most likely reason for him being off his food

some of my carpets won't eat when they're in the shedding proccess

others eat all the way through it

its down to the individual snake

he should shed within the next 10 days for you mate

cheers shaun

^^^^^
this

no need to mist or anything carpets will shed perfect all by themselves at room humidity

your boy should be sporting some nice new skin any day now

cheers shaun
