Colour change and Feeding
My GTP seems to be going through his colour change - a lot more green coming through on him.
He hasn't eaten now for 6 weeks - i was wondering if the colour change can put them off food?
Not overly concerned about his health at present - he is still moving around, drinking etc - he still seems interested in food but just not taking it when its offered.

Re: Colour change and Feeding
Not got any recent pics, been leaving him alone whilst he isnt feeding, nothing has changed in his environment at all ( apart from a new piece of kitchen roll as substrate!)
Will try superheating for his next feeding attempt and see if that works.

Re: Colour change and Feeding
I make pretty much all food that we eat myself, we have the occassional thing in the freezer that can be cooked from frozen for days when my back is too painful to stand and cook but apart from that pretty much everything is homemade.

Re: Colour change and Feeding
Not sure if this is any good for ye Rob
I read that if you get a casserole dish & fill it with hot water
Now place the lid on upside down so its touching the water
Place the rat ( on the lid ) on its back so its heating up the back of the head and down the spine.
