Cerwin Vega Speakers
Here are these speakers i have been talking about so much lately. I just pick them up and set them up, wow for only running 120watts with out the sub my whole house is shaking guttering and all. Im buying a power amp to get the full 500watt out the towers soon. The sub is a 15" active xls vega aswell.
Here is two pics of them. My mate in the second photo is 6'5" so it gives you an idea of just how big those towers are.

Re: Cerwin Vega Speakers
Cheers mate i didnt realise just how big those towers were till i had to try and move them round the loungeroom. The towers weigh in at 53kg's and the sub is 42kg's which is bloody heavy!!! The towers put out some serious punch as they have dual 15" drivers in each of them, as well as 4 - 6.5" drivers in the centre and rears. There is a lot of bass considering they are only running at 1/4 of their potential. Shame i live in the middle of town and that the snakes would not appreciate it as much as me lol.
This pic makes my tv look tiny lol. The other half isnt as happy with them as i am, but she will get over it im sure.

Re: Cerwin Vega Speakers
i got the paradigm reference series with the 15"sub option 500watts self powered, studio 100 v3 5 channel towers, cant remember what exact name of the centre and rears but it was also from the same year reference series, all running with a denon reciever. but mine is like 5 years old now, i bet your blows the doors off mine now with the new technology. i love this poster i got to get a copy one day.

Re: Cerwin Vega Speakers
Very nice system freebody, that would be a very sweet set up. I was gonna go an 18" 2500watt ( pretty much a stage sub ) lol but decided not to so my house would stay standing. I have to have the windows in my lounge cracked open a bit as they shake far too much when they are closed. Im tempted to get another 15" sub to even out the set up and make it a little neater and not offset, but its already got enough bass i think. Once i get those towers to their peak of 500watt the dual 15" drivers in each tower should be plenty!!
Cheers Evra.

Re: Cerwin Vega Speakers
are you going to go with one of those solid power amps, i cant remember the name off hand but its like a 1000 w amp 500 to each tower but basically its just a box with an onswith your wire up to your reciever? i was going to buy one but i cheeped out, one day tho i spend the cash.

Re: Cerwin Vega Speakers
Thats a nice two channel there, but price is right up there. Im looking at a cerwin vega power amp with 1200watt or 600watt per channel, i was given a deal that this would only cost me 1300 aus dollars which is damn cheap considering they retail for over 2400 aus here. I saved over 2000 on me speakers alone, but still cost me 4000. By the end this set up will be around 7500 aus dollars and will break my windows for sure.
