Re: Axanthic Carpets?
theres a few different people working with axanthic's in europe at the minute.havent heard of any in the uk but i'm sure there will be some tucked away in private collections.normal murray darlings are still quite rare and expensive over here, saw an 08 pair for £1100 and an 09 pair for £800 up for sale last month.i think the guys thinking of selling a pair of adults too,but i dont know the price.thats the first time ive seen murray darlings for sale in the uk.
£1100 = approximately 1617 aussie dollars
£800 = approximately 1176 aussie dollars
cheers shaun

Re: Axanthic Carpets?
pure diamonds are our most expensive carpet over here £2000 a pair.black headed pythons are 2900 euro's each.a guy in france has some up for sale just now.there were a pair of bhp for sale in the uk a few months back the guy didnt have a price in his post.when i pm'd him they had already been sold.you dont see many bhp's over here.womas go for around £600 a pair at the minute.exchange rate just nows roughly 1.47 aussie dollars to the british pound mate.

Re: Axanthic Carpets?
Ah yeah, Diamonds are found locally in my area... very dark individuals. The nice high quality ones we get here are usually a Gosford N.S.W locality usually diamonds here range from $!00-$600 depending on quality.. Don't you guys have albino blackheads there? I read an article that someone had bred them but can't remember where.

Re: Axanthic Carpets?
uk pythons have axanthic black heads but ive not come across any albino bhp's.they have albino murray darlings though they wont sell them.all thats available are murray darling albino x irian jaya 100% het albino or albino md's x coastal 100% het albino.you cant get hold of any pure murray darling albino's yet.when we here the term gosford diamond over here,it conjours up the picture of a perfect pure diamond.gosford diamonds are pretty sought after.

Re: Axanthic Carpets?
Our Albinos are the Darwin carpets Morelia spilota variegata, When they first popped out they were going for around $10,000 if i remember correctly, now they pop up from $1500-$2000 a hatchie, There's also some Diamond x variegata & Palmeston jungle x variegata het for albino intergrades around.. But un-natural intergrades here are frowned upon & no one really pays attention to them. Yeah the Gosford diamonds are the same here, if you're gonna get a diamond best to get one of those.

Re: Axanthic Carpets?
i can understand the purists frowning on un natural intergrades over your way mate.its a bit different over here as if something escapes it wont survive in the wild.your pure species in the wild could get pretty messed up if a load of designer morph's got loose.i never get involved in the should it be allowed in your country debate.to be honest i have looked at both views and agree with some things both partys bring to the table.if you did do it you would really have to be extra carefull these intergrades did not escape and mess up the local wild life.
