Albino Monacled Cobra

Thinking about purchasing a venomoid one from venomoidinc.com but I have a few concerns. How certain are they the surgery was successfully done right? They seem like a reputable company but I saw nothing about a guarantee or anything about them paying a medical bill in the event something wasn't done right. Anyone have experience with them? I want one either way but i'd LIKE to free handle it from a baby but I wont even think of it unless it's....you know......guaranteed and they'll pay my bill if it isn't...

Re: Albino Monacled Cobra

Please dont buy a venomoid as its incredibly cruel for the snake. Also there is NO gaurantee as if they leave a little piece of the gland behind they will produce venom again. If you dont feel confident with a venomous snake than dont buy one. I know you have a rattler but come on seriously please DO NOT support that side of the hobby. I find it quite disgusting that people do it and feel it should be illegal to do so ( it is illegal here ).

You can freehandle any venomous species, but there are massive risks involved. Buying a venomoid will only minimise these chances and will never 100% eliminate those risks!

Re: Albino Monacled Cobra

Okay you're entitled to your opinion but I don't agree with it being so horrible. I'm sure theres lots in the wild that are killed or mamed for no reason feasting on food with tons of parasites. Owning one i will spoil and give a better life than most would for a surgery done by a professional. But i'm not here to discuss the morality of it. I know the possibility of it growing back and all that. But from what i've read that happened with older snakes when venomoids first started appearing and the surgery was new, with not much known about the regeneration. My question is now with this knowledge and better understanding of the surgery and better surgeons what are the chances, does anyone have specific experience with this company?

Wow go stop people from fighting dogs or killing dolphins I know you guys love snakes as do I...but seriously calm yourself theres alot of Disgusting horrible things out there go complain about them. So I guess no one here agrees with neutering or spaying either right? Answer my question reasonably or don't i'm not posting to hear everyone whine about it. I don't remember asking to hear everyones moral stance on it.

Re: Albino Monacled Cobra

Okay maybe i still haven't made it clear for someone like you. Does anyone have experience with THIS company.THIS SPECIFIC COMPANY. I know there is no guarantee it WONT grow back if they don't do it right, but their site is pretty clear on licensed professionals who know how to remove ALL of it. I'm speaking of THIS company and peoples personal experience with it.

Re: Albino Monacled Cobra

Yeah i'm not raged out it's just any time i try to get cold hard facts or ask any questions about venomoids I get flamed by everyone telling me how horrible it is or how bad I am for being interested in purchasing one. I just want information not everyones personal opinion i've already got dozens of those.....

Re: Albino Monacled Cobra

First up...I need to get this out of the way.

The question you asked - no, I don't believe anyone here has any experience dealing with any venomoid company. This subject ran its course not too long ago Randy in a thread you started....

http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/gener...enomizing.html

Now look at it like this, if everyone was anti devenomizing then, what makes you think that anyone would buy a snake from that company?

The subject invoked drama the first time around.

Secondly, this is an OPEN forum meaning that anyone who wishes may post on any thread they wish and state whatever opinion they wish.

Unless that clearly violates the terms of service that every one of us agreed to upon signing up to use the forum (Including me)

Would you insult the guy next to you just because he prefers blonds and you prefer brunettes? Would it upset you to the point of harsh words if you were right handed having a conversation with a person who is left handed? Most likely not

So why get all cranky when another reptile lover has a different stance on a subject than you do?
