I have been a snake owner for 4 weeks now. I purchased a Ball Python (18") from a local pet store. Was told after they checked it is a male. But I have a few questions about him. I have fed him 3 mice (last one this morning) he has passed 2 without a problem (white in color)... then I cleaned his cage this morning to find 3 Black in color stools. is this normal??? i don't know if it matters but he shed 90% 2 days ago. humidity in the tank is right @ 68%. any help would be great. thanks
White in color is urates, black in color is stool. If you let the black dry out & then pull it apart you will find that is it basically hair. Mark
