well if you live in florida you can not legally own them and as for releasing them back in the wild that is a doomed failure and the possabilities of introducing disease that they can't fight into a wild population is almost a guarantee. it was tried already and all died and the damage to the wild population is unknown. best just to keep them in captivity and as for the price...compared to what??? $25-$30,000 ball pythons,remember they are just snakes..

Yeah I don't spend that much on Balls either! LOL
Around here though $1,000 isn't unheard of for Indigos, not to mention the fees incurred for shipping papers, and permits. They are beautiful snakes just not into to them enough to justify all the red tape and what not.
