Cut her some slack man. It is not her fault if she trusted some jack-off that said baby boas were good starter pets. And don't try to feed her the line "Do your research" because she is doing that now and she was ridiculed.

Baby boas are grey but they soon grow into small pink bundles of joy. I am guessing your are witnessing the standard colour change that all baby boas go through. I keep all my baby boas in Rubbermaid containers until they reach 4 feet long then I put them in 4 foot cages. Glass tanks are not really good simply because glass does not keep heat or humidity well but plastic Rubbermaid containers are great at doing both, and take up much less room I might add.

oh and by the way i researched on red tail boas for a couple of years before buying it and never did anything i read say anything about them turning bright pink.it started out as a light pink color before turning almost hot pink then it just went away im not trying to sound rude just letting you know i did research on them and do want to take care of the snake to the best of my ability even if some of my questions get ridiculed by other animal owners.

This has got to be one of the rudest answers ive ever read on any site.Just cause she asked this question you think she hasnt done any research, etc,a bad keeper. This was actually a good question and also shows she pays attention to changes to her boa and cares for its well being.
Repigirl I really have no idea why your apologizing here. You did nothing wrong but asked a simple but good question but you received some rude answer from some person who cant even type correctly. No need to apologize or give excusses to this person.
Some boas do turn pinker or redder as they age but some can have pink on their bellies when they are born or young.
Another reason it may be pink on the belly is due to the fact it maybe soon entering a shed cycle which in your case i think this is the answer.
Boa's have different color phases aswell.A dark phase and a light phase. The darker phase could produce some pink on the belly aswell.
Not a very great welcome to the site by that first response but i hope my answer helped you out.Welcome to the site and check your pm's.
