nintendos last stand or revival?

Here is nintendos new controller for there revolution. I am one of the biggest nintendo fans out there, I stand behind them thru thick and thin...however, I am sceptical about this move. They did alot of stupid stuff in the past....Not use CD format for 64, not entering online play, not developing any mature games, staying with a kiddie image, pushing back release dates of there only decent games this year to say the least. However there new design for there controller is telling me to not waste my money and just get a PS3 or 360.

How can a huge company be so ....i dunno what to think any more. Time to take out the old nes and play my mario bros 3 for a while.....

that actually doesnt look that bad, its different, you guys gotta give **** a chance. and they do have online play for gamecube i play tiger woods online sometimes and theres some others out there, and nintendo gameboys dont even count as consoles (advanced , sp, ds). im giving it a chance, if i dont like it well then that blows for nintendo.

i really really really like the way the whole set looks like i think its like 4 pages back from the controler itself it looks like an ipod kinda product... but as for the controler i say last stand that think looks uncomofortable as some1 that playes video games once in a while i can really see that as uncomfortable

Being a father of 4 I love Nintendo. It is the only console I would have in the house due to the fact that there is so many younger games out there for them! My 8yr. old keeps bugging me for the other systems, but I feel that he is just to young for the mass amounts of violent and sex filled images that the others carry. It seems like that is just about all the others are putting out now. As far as not going to CD or DVD format I tend to feel this just may have been smart on there part, made it a little tough for the hackers out there who are ripping of these companys left and right (just a little hard to jam a cartrige into the old burner) I am going to stick with Nintendo for a while, they just give my kids a much larger selection of KID games. I do agree with the controler issue! That just may prove dificalt for the 5yr. olds! Oh well just have to stick with the cube I guess
Just my opinion.

from what this page says it uses buttons and motion sensers so you have to wave it in the air to do things like swing a bat in a baseball game which sounds pretty hardcore for either little children or people who play till 5 or 6 in the morning and don't feel like sitting up to keep flailing there arms around to play a video game.and i never said gameboys and DS count as consules. i don't see how that even matters though i was talking about nintendo as a company which i personally don't like mabye its that fact im 20 years old with no kids or little brothers or the fact i don't like nintendo games at all.anyways thats my opinion.for the rare time every few months i play video games i will just stick to my san andreas or vice city which never gets boring.anyways heres the page i was speaking of http://news.yahoo.com/s/pcworld/2005...pcworld/122582

The DS is a great portable system, and Nintendo is what brought games back from the grave back in 1985, in there 20 year rule, they did great at the beginnig however as a hard core nintendo follower they may have the greatest thing in the world with this new controller or maybe this is it for them. I agree with its good to have a kid system, however they werent always this way..........the gamecube wasnt a bad system i live in a house full of colledg guys and gals, we are all big on gameing we own every system in our house, from atari 2600 to xbox, and with all honesty the funnest games we own for all of us to play are on my cube. anyway, well see what happens in console wars round 3.
