Lisa,it fluctuates! Obviously at hatching time there are many more. I'd say now about 50 pairs + another 30 or so yearling/ sub adults. Only a few of this year's babies though.LOL I forgot to add that the pic is of a scarlet king. L.t. elapsoides.

Very lovely snakelet! What is he feeding on?? They are not a variety of king that I have seen here - do they maintain that color to maturity?

For Mary.....
Mary, I start them out on hatchling brown anoles. Not many in the hobby that are c.b. They are so small that they require more attention than other milksnakes. Most hatch with white rings that turn to bright yellow or apricot. I have both and like them all. Here's a bright yellow male I have.
