Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances,
ie. shipping problems with my rodents, my newly acquired 2004 boas have been without food since settling in on the 13May05. They fed well before I acquired them and seem fine. Two have shed nicely. Should I be worried?
Rodent delivery is now set for this Monday, 30May05.
i wouldnt worry unless they refuse the rodents once you get them. i believe the record time for a non feeding boa was around 2 years. they'll eat....with no chance of starving.
Most of my boas are only fed every two weeks or so, regardless of what my supply of rats are. My late 2004 boas are feeding around every week and a half. You have nothing to worry about at all. Snakes have a slow metabolism, and as a result, can go lengths of time without suffering any ill effects, unlike humans.
