White stuff from A savannah?

does savannah monitor secretes a white stuff when its scared or my sav just walk on something that is white on the kitchen floor? i was holding my savannah the other night and im not sure if he secreted a white stuff or he just walked on it? pls give info. thanks

How long have you had your monitor?

It is likely a result of the secretion of urea salts.... essentially a non liquid form of urine. Nothing to worry about. This should happen on a semi-regular basis. I am not a monitor keeper, but every other species of lizard, as well as snake does this.
