Opinion...
What does everyone think about the laws concerning non-native herbevorous insects (e.g., roaches, millipedes, stick bugs, etc.)
(you can't keep them in Canada without a proper permit)
just thought this board could use a few helpful posts
and also, does anyone now the punishments (e.g, fines) with these? thanks, Dan Conner

Most of these alien "bugs" would not survive our Canadian winter, but.... Imagine something as prolific as the numerous species of roaches that are starting to appear, millepedes or what have you becoming established in an intensive agricultural zone, early in the spring. They could potentially do a lot of damage in one growing season. A permit situation would be real nice, but very difficult to administrate.

I would have to agree, stuff has to be done, like look at australia, they have epidemics all the time from foreign insects... The fire ants there are reaping havoc there, and its become a epidemic and they dont know how to stop it :P

LoL Send some of us Texans over there! Well take care of those ants for them. LoL I still cant believe they didnt stop them when they were still just on the beaches!!!!!!!!!!

unfortunetly there's too much damage that could be done with these animals... but now i wonder where some people are going to get certain feeders for their animals.

Oh i know... now people cant even go out into there own gardens, in 80% of australias residential areas... its a shame really
