Micro Chipping

What is a normal $$$ for micro chipping? Of course I assume it depends where you live, but I was just quoted $68 and thought it was a little high. Any thoughts?

Shawn, that seems about right. There are only a select few companies that do it, so the prices will be very competitive right across the line.

You put a small "micro chip" under the animals skin, this has an identity number on it. YTou can use it for tracking or to prove an animals identity.

Say for example you sell a $1000.00 het Albino female to a guy, but your a reputible breeder so you micro chip it. Then a month later the guy wants his cash back and hands you a dead snake. Well you can scan the dead snake for your micro chip and prove it is or isnt your snake.

Or your $100,000 Lucy gets stolen, and your next door neighbor is advertising a Lucy for $75,000 in the local paper the next day. You can see if thats your animal by it's micro chip.
