You cannot legally own a black ratsnake of any variety, captive bred or not, in Ontario. You can have a leucistic Texas ratsnake which will run about $100-$150.

No. You originally said Black Ratsnake, which I'm assuming was a typo. Cam replied saying that you cannot legally own Black Ratsnakes in Ontario, which is correct.

Legally a leucistic Black ratsnake cannot be kept in Ontario. Black ratsnakes are a native species and are protected.

You can have a leucistic Texas ratsnake. That's perfectly legal even though they are very similar to leucistic black ratsnakes.

Yeah I know, but since he came back with "so legally a leucistic Texas ratsnake in ontario is out of the question?" I assumed that Black Ratsnake was a typo.

Cheers,
