How good is the new BP book?
I think this was posted before but there was a new BP book released I saw on beanfarm and was wondering to anyone who picked up a copy, if it was any good?
Books name is The ball python-care, breeding, and natural history
by Kirschner, Andreas and Seufer, Hermann
Thanks for any feedback.

Trevor, I tried finding a link to it on beanfarm an couldn't find it again. I only had the info on the book itself written down.
Mykee, what kind of info was it missing?
Thanks guys.

If you want a book that covers all aspects of BP Husbandry and Captive Reproduction, Try the Ball Python Manual by Philippe de Vosjoli, Roger Klingenberg, D.M.V., and the Barkers. I find its an excellent souce of info. Hope this helps,
Mike

It really isn't missing anything, it's just not worth the money in my opinion. I'm yet to find a truly adequate book for the middle of the road BP owner and breeder but this book really regurges a lot of info that every other BP book has, no new insight and nothing groundbreaking.
Mike, as for the book you mentioned, it's pretty outdated, but if you don't mind reading a book that reads like it was written by a "slow" 12 year old, it's decent. Lots happened since 1994, we need some new literature.

Except for the one you told me to write right mykee? That one will be the best. Hey, I'll use your pics and we can both make money. How's that sound?
Cheers,
Trevor

Trev; you write it, I'll add the pics and spellcheck it (lol) and we're good to go. I bet it would be better than half the crap out there that is selling off the shelves.

You guys know I hate you both right? Say where's pretty boy? How come he's not jumping in on this one too? He's normally pretty good at pointing out my flaws too.
Cheers,
Trevor

I read that the Barkers are working on a new high-end ball python book. I'm getting the idea that it's going to be a nice coffee table like book with pictures of all the new morphs and I'm sure good updated info too. However at the price I heard it will not replace the Ball Python Manual as a pet store paperback staple for new owners. Maybe they'll update that one also.
