Seaway Serpentarium

I'm finally getting the opportunity to share a few pics from a visit/photo shoot at the Seaway Serpentarium...............

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/schlegelii-112704.jpg">
......a couple little girls born at the Serpentarium in November 2004.

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/cerataphorus-112704.jpg">
One of my favorite Vipers......actually I'm a sucker for just about any Atheris.

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/gila-112704.jpg">
Juvenile Gila.......the only time I could get the little guy to sit still was when he was eating. This guy was CB in Canada by a private breeder in 2003 I believe.

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/gila-112704-2.jpg">
What a monster

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/aurifer-112704.jpg">
Who doesn't love aurifer's. The Seaway Serpentarium was one of the first facilites to captive breed this species.............sorry for the poor pic, this guy just wouldn't sit still one I disturbed him for the pics.

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/nigroviridis-112704.jpg">
Again, poor pic......this guy is pissy. Very difficult to get a good pic without taking a bite in the process .

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/lateralis-112704.jpg">
The Seaway Serpentarium has been very successful with this species as well. They are so variable (and yes, this is truely what these guys look like, no photoshop).

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/trigonocephalus-112704.jpg">
Another of my favorite species........

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/barnetti-112704.jpg">
If these don't look familiar, don't feel bad. I have never seen another picture of them before either This is the largest collection of this species in captivity. This pic could have been better, but it was the last animal of the photo shoot and my memory ran out........not to mention he was a little restless.

<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/SeawaySerpentarium/parviocula-112704.jpg">
The Diamond Python of the <i>Bitis</i>.......Truely awesome!

I thought the venomous community might get a kick out of these pics. Some of these species are not very common in collections, and I know I appreciate the opportunity to look at them

Very nice, I always have liked Trimeresurus and Atheris. You should see if they have any Protobothrops anytime, they are the 'Asian Lanceheads'. :P

About how far from Niagara Falls is this place and would it be worth the drive?
