Hey look, Christmas carolers!!!
I opened the box at Air Canada cargo last night and what did I find? A pleasant little carpet python trying to wish me a Merry Christmas!
Any guesses as to which carol he was singing? lol
Merry Christmas!

Funny stuff indeed.

Cute
How exactly do you go about breaking snappy snakes of the habit? Just let them chew on you for a while until they get bored?
I've got one that ignores my hand and goes for the face every time.

CRUCIFORM:
Actually once you let them have a limb or 10lbs of human flesh they are pretty full till next time......lol.
Seriously it takes alot od patience and handling and learning your animals habits to know best time to break them from the natural habit. Over time all these put into effect regularily make most snakes calm and easy, not all but most.

LOL! I've dodged 4/4 strikes so far! It's not skill on my part, I think they're just taking it easy on me! They could hit me if they really tried.
Like Tony said, it just takes patience and some getting to know the animal and its body language. Some will just naturally calm down with age/time and no effort on your part while others will never calm down no matter what you try. That's half the fun sometimes though.
