The first of Molly's babies to hatch is nicely sized, but her clutch mate, from an identical eggs, hatched a day later, is only 2/3 her size. Does this usually happen? She seems thinner so I am getting some fresh pin heads today and will keep trying to tempt them to eat.
I find that my hatchings so far vary in size. My last clutch mates that hatched yesterday look bigger than the last 2 that hatched. Really good sized tails, for the size of them.
I don't think its anything to worry about as long as they start eating after the first shed, just if you're keeping them together make sure the bigger one isn't bullying the smaller one.
Yup, it's very normal. You just never know how big they'll hatch out. Be sure to wait a few days to feed them, they need to shed once before they start eating. Otherwise the crix will just scare them
