fruit flies are common nearly everywhere. I live in the desert but fruit flys are common if you have fruit out. If they are fruit flys they are probably coming from the food dish. Clean everything and reduce the foodstock amount so the what is there is consumed with-in 24 hrs or only leave the food in the cage for a couple of hours a day and refridgerate it, and be sure to clean up any juices that spill on the substrate. I don't keep leos but this is how I would do it. Herp addict solution= pick up some poison dart or other small frogs to add to the enclosure and let the friut flys breed lol

If you have fruit flies they are coming from fruit or fruit juice. Do you ever give your leos (or any animals near them) fruit? That would be a cause. Leos (or anything other than fruits/juices) cannot "get fruitflies".......
