I got a message that said mine was goingto shut down in 1 mon for maintenance. 5 min later it did, and is still not back up (3:30 Eastern time)

well i finally got back online...i also got that maintenance thing about a day ago or so...maybe its comin back

If you think your MSN is down just open it then go to help and look at the service status. Usually if you cant sign in just check that and it will tell you whats going on with the service.

From what i have heard, some one hacked the msn server and did alot of damage. They were trying to fix it , they said expect accounts to be deleted. Mine is fine, any one still have problems or get deleted, I couldnt log in for a few hours

Does anyone use MSN plus? If so what are some cool tricks that you have discovered. If you press CTRL and SPACE at the same time then your msn window(s) will close down to a small network icon on the bottom right of your screen, it replaces the MSN logo. I think its call BOSS mode. Its for those of you that use msn at work and dont want to get busted.

I just got this on MSN :
We are very sorry for the problems that MSN are having but they will be fixed. MSN will shut down at 12:00 tonight for a week or so until we can figure out what has bein goin on. please send this once again to atleast 25 people it doesn't matter if they are the same people just do it so that we will not shut your account down thank you
Don't know if it's true or not... maybe I'm just too gullable, lol

LOL.. ok... here is whats going on:
"Techweb is reporting that a new worm that spreads via Microsoft's instant messaging client began badgering users Monday, several security firms said. Dubbed Funner, the worm propagates by sending itself to all the contacts listed in the user's copy of MSN Messenger, Microsoft's IM client. There is an analysis on Symantec Security Response Site; apparently the worm tries to download stuff from www.78p.com and adds entries to the hosts file pointing to more that 400 Chinese porn sites. The worm also sends itself to the whole contact list as funny.exe so it requires the user interaction to actually execute it.

My MSN has been working, just acting strangely... it's shut down a few times for maintenance in the last few days though, and there's only like 1/4 of the people online on my list that there usually would be, so I can certainly believe that other people have been having problems... Hopefully they get things cleared up soon.
