Because they were not as much discussion as they were negative posts. So that is why thanks for the post.

I am against hybrids, but I do find them interesting.

Most people who are into hybrids and intergrades often aren't very public about it... personally I don't see the difference between them and mixing dog breeds, or interracial relationships... they're garranteed to make people pasionate about something.

Inter-racial relationships? Are you serious? "African American" X "Latin American" is a LOT different than Lampropeltis X Elaphe.

I'm with Tim big time on this one. THe only way you could even consider it being the same as a dog breed would be if you cross a pug, who overheats quite often, and can't stand strenuous exercise, with a malamute, who has two heavy coats of fur and is bred to run.

Now what about ratsnake/cornsnake hybrids? Do they carry the same sort of negative light as other crosses?
[I'm not trying to provoke anything, just curious. ]

I personally don't have a problem with hybrids... if two animals will get it on without deceiving them in some way, it's fine by me...
However, if you are going to make hybrids, I feel they should not be crossed any further. Otherwise, you end up polluting the gene pool of whichever pure species you breed it back to.
