yippie my baby ate

yesterday our female rat had 12 babies...last night we attempted to feed one to my dumeril's male baby he is less than a month old...my fiancee wanted to take him out of his cage and feed him...I told him of what I had read on here from other peoples experience with Dums...I told him just to put the pup in the cage with him and shut off all the lights in the room and leave him alone for a lil bit...10 mins later we checked on him the pup was gone lol first we thought it might have burried itself in the cage but we looked thru the bedding and it wasnt in there then we noticed a lump in my snake he ate so we offered him a second pup and with in less than 2 mins he was on it and startin it down his throat...he is do sooooooo much better I am relieved... we had been discussin if he didnt eat we would have to take him back to the breeder and go from there...I hated the idea of giving him up I am attached to the lil feller he is just georgous....Thank you everyone who has posted their experience with their dumeril's it came in very very very useful....

This picture was taken the day we brought him home....it was taken with a simple computer cam....it doesnt do the lil guy justice at all...
