Well if you think it's the same and someone tells you no why do you ask to begin with? Check the ingredients for yourself and and if they are diffferent then they aren't the same. If the ingredients are the same and in the same volumes then they are the same.
Otherwise "Nope"

Rid
Ingredients: Active Ingredients:
Pyrethrum Extract equivalent to 0.33% Pyrethrins, Piperonyl Butoxide 4%
Inactive Ingredients:
C13-14 Isoparaffin, Fragrance, Isopropyl Alcohol, PEG-25 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Water, Xanthan Gum.
Nix
Ingredients: Permethrin 280mg (1%), Balsam Canada, Cetyl Alcohol, Citric Acid, FD&C Yellow No.6, Fragrance, Hydrolyzed Animal Protein, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyoxethylene 10 Cetyl Ether, Propylene Glycol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Water, Isopropyl Alcohol 5.6g (20%), Methylparaben 56mg (0.2%), and Propylparaben 22mg(0.08%).
They are quite different in the ingredients as listed above. I have used Nix and it works extremely well. Just remember to dilute it.
No reason to get pissed off too, people joke around quite a bit here...

Dude, what's your problem? You asked a "yes or no" question, and you got a "yes or no" type answer? Don't type in caps either. Its yelling and is extremely rude.

MY EARS HURT!!!! Simple question, simple answer. two simple searches on ANY search engine would have gotten you the answer you were looking for; "Nix ingredients" and "Rid ingredients". 5 minutes of your time. Don't piss at Jeff 'cause you're lazy!

I as well used the Nix treatment as many suggested to use. However there is even a cheaper just as effective method using Listerine in a 50/50 solution with water. My local reptile dealer said he's been using this method for years and it works great without hurting the reptile. Just makes their breath smell a lil better

Listerine = lots of alcohol = BAD IDEA. Your local breeder = not very smart.

Isnt this what this sites about? People to get quick reliable information about their pet? Lately the people who are newer and are interested and ask questions just get picked apart and made look stupid. I think you people with the "Big ego's and 50 different snakes" who have nothing nice to say but criticism, should just bite your tongues and say something encouraging and helpful, instead of making people feel like *****.

Can you please explain to me how my answer was bad? I never picked the guy apart. He asked if two products were the same, and I said they weren't. And then he blew up!! LOL, can you please fill me in on how the chain of events should have gone? He asked a question, and he got a perfect answer. How is that bad? People are either way too sensitive, or they expect wayy too much. These forums cannot be a one-way street 100% of the time. If you ask a simple yes or no question, and get a similar type answer, how can you be mad at that?
Its beyond me. FAR beyond.

Well, I don't think there's an official mandate for this site but as far as I'm concerned, those who can't be bothered to help themselves don't deserve any help from others. If you can't take 2 seconds to try to find the answer to your question yourself, why should anyone take the time to help you?
Besides, as people have mentioned, his question was answered. If he wanted a better answer, he should have asked a better question. It has nothing to do with owning a lot of snakes, or having an exotic snake. It's about using your brain to think for yourself.
