I was thinking about putting a florescent black light on top of my cresteds cage so that I can view her at night. It shouldn't heat up the cage, but I was wondering if a black light would affect her in any way? Has anyone tried this before? I want to find a way that I can watch her active at night without stressing her out or using real light.
You could just use one of those red bulbs they have for sale.
From what I understand reptiles cannot see this red so its like their up at night and you still get to see them
I have a florescent fixure that I am trying to utilize, do they make red florescent bulbs, the reason that I thought of the black light is because I know they have those. I was just wondering if they could see that kind of light or if it is good for them. If its a good idea, I would really like to know. I did do a search as suggested and I couldn't find anyone saying that it was bad.
