Question crown animal bedding?

hey all. my parents are currently taking care of a bird for my grandmother and i was looking in the cage yesterday and she had these pellets on the ground for substrate. i found out she left the bag of the stuff at our house and its called crown animal bedding. on the bag it says made from recycled natural paper fibre, superior absorbency, attacks ammonia odour, easy clean up, biodegradable.

anyone ever heard of this stuff? im not sure where she got it from but id like to try it for some of my snakes. the product itself looks like 1cm grey colored pellets and doesnt really smell like anything. if anyone knows what it is id like to know if it would be harmful to use for snakes or not. thanx.

woohoo nevermind i just found the website and heres what it says....

"Made from paper fiber, Pet's Preference is non-toxic and dust free. (Great for allergy sufferers!) It is ideal for post-operative care, as it is non-abrasive and will not irritate or contaminate wounds. The natural fibers are heat sterilized to protect your pet from bacteria, mold or fungus. And, Pet's Preference contains no pine or cedar oils."

im gonna give it a try in my kingsnake tank right now and ill tell you guys what i think of the product.
