Marker or nailpolish to mark babies?

Which do you use and why?

Are there any risks of either?

Thx.

I have seen my vet use a black marker on the group he has in the office.

I have never marked my babies and probly never will, I wouldn't think to use nail polish though, the fumes on that would be pretty harsh to a baby, IMO.
