My only rat eater, eatin'
Our male het albino is our only rat eater at this point out of my Ball Pythons. Others are still refusing. Actually not only does this little guy rat his own rats, he eats the leftovers from the others! LOL. He is growing like MAD ever since starting on them!
He just shed tonight and was quite hungry!

The shavings are from scenting all the rats with mouse bedding. He doesn't need scented but its just easier to scent the whole batch at once. LOL.

Thanks guys. He really isn't all that big though. About two feet I guess although I haven't measured him in a long while. But when I got him from PCPC in January he was about 12 inches!!!! :P I'll get some growth shots soon.

He has lost some orange, but when I peek in on him compared to my others, he is just super orange in comparision.
I will admit that tonight, after 7 months my female BP was given mice. I really couldn't justify the "starve her out" method any longer as I felt 7 months was long enough. I'll get some weight on her (although she lost none during her "fast") then try again with some live rats probably.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing with my female bp. I gave her 2 mice(2wks in a row) Then one night she got extremely upset or hungry and was striking at the side of the cage, and I gave her a rat, she has had 2 since then.
Good luck, I hope she will take rats for you!

How big is his head??!!! That's pretty awesome, nice pics!!! My bp is 3 feet long and I still feed her mice...that are actually pretty damn small!!!! I was thinking of feeding her a rat soon but I'm not sure...I've heard of people feeding their bp's rat pups but I don't know when or what(a pup or adult sized rat)to feed her!! If you have any reccomendations on what to feed her or just information on when and what to feed her it would be greatly appreciated!!! Congrats on your first rat eater!! -Sarah-
P.S.- if you can get back to me, please PM me! Thanx!!
