How do we put pics in threads?

I have tried briefly to put a pic in a thread, but i thought i'd do better asking you guys how to!

first upload your picture to the gallery. then open up your gallery and click on your picture so that it is full size. then right click and click on properties. then copy the url out of the screen. then once you are back in the post box paste the url there and type (IMG)website(IMG) but change the ('s with ['s.
