I want to see some blue...
What a lady!
A little shy, but when she decides to go for it, watch out boys!

You wretched, wretched man!!
Infecting us all with the pokie bug...
Yep, she's a looker! The coloration is intense, is she nearing maturity now? And, do all poecilotheria get as large as the P.regalis (6 inches)? You must just hug yourself for joy when you look in that one's tank...
Carry on, Obi-Wan Martinobi, you are Canada's only hope...
for CB P.metallicas
Oh, and, how's Jewel doing?
heh, heh, heh

LOL, Dragoon, I am not Canada's only hope as I know of two ther hobbyists with P. metallica in Canada...
The most amazing thing is that the picture does not do justice at all to it's beauty... you should see those for real under the right lighting... it is an instant jaw dropper...
So you think I should try to breed them? That is weird, it never crossed my mind!LOL
She is far from being mature, probably in a year or so... this is my biggest female of the three that I have... the male, I am slowing him down, in case I cannot get some new ones... at least I will attempt inbreeding...
P. rufilata holds the Poke record for the biggest species, P. ornata is pretty close too... I do not know what is teh maximum size of P. metallica though...
Jewel is doing great! he he
Take care
Martin

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the info... still... a spider that blue the size of an adult P. regalis is destined to be impressive!LOL
Most of the pictures I have seen of adults seem to have the blue less striking, I am looking forward to see if this is only due to the pictures being taken long time after molts...
