PICS - Macklott's Pythons!
Hey all,
Here are my 2 Macklott's Pythons, also produced by Gord Redman. Their names are Osiris and Isis. Both are like handling corn snakes! No aggression has ever been shown by either of these 2, making them that much more desireable as both pets and breeders.
Here they are!
Osiris - Male
Isis - Female

Great looking animals. Have a friend that has on that is super nasty. He said it would tag him like 3 times before he could even move his hand away. Glad to know not all are like that

Any idea if those are Samao local? I remember readin they were the most freckled of the 3 and also tend to be smaller. I dont really think they look like timor's. Timor head look more like a scrub. They are however great looking Macklot’s pythons

Watch the speckling on them. I've heard there's sexual dimorphism in that one of the sexes tends to be more freckled than the other. I know we noticed that when we had our macklott's.

Thanks very much everyone.
Jeff - I do see the resemblance with Timors, but even moreso with their closest cousin, Liasis Albertisii - the white-lip. Their heads are almost the exact same shape. My female does have a killer golden color to her though. I can't wait to see her as an adult.
Snakeskin - mine are very large for their age - I haven't measured yet, but given how far they stretch around the rubbermaids, I'd say 2.5 feet, and they were born late last year.
Katt - I've never heard of that, but nonetheless, the male does have higher freckling. However, one of the siblings to this girl, a male that was kept by the guy who did this order, has almost none. So, I'm not sure if there is any dimorphism....

Nice macks. I have 2, Marius and Trinity. Marius is around 6' and Trin is around 3'. Both were very snappy as youngsters. Trin pulled a nice trick the other night. She tried to eat my thumb. Bit it, wrapped it, and started swallowing it. After careful thought and consideration, I gave her a nice rat instead.
