My cousing lived in the suburbs and she had a pet chicken, it was weird but cool.

I am not exactly sure if it is legal, but I know a few people that have some and they follow you around like a puppy!

My Ducks

I got them at the Stouville flea market for 2.00 ea. and they just roam the yard with the dogs, I lost a few in the past to Racoons in Toronto, but so far in the new digs no probs.
Cheers
Brian

Ducks are considered farm animals and those are often not allowed in suburbs...

I had some pet ducks when growing up and they can be fun, when they aren't nipping at you that is! lol We kept our in a outdoor pen for most of the time and brought them into the garage when it was really cold.

One thing that can be quite annoying, especially if you're not expecting this is that they get up quite early and are very noisy when hungry! It was a daily thing at our house when we had those ducks, just like roosters, they would awake at the crack of dawn (5-5:30am) and quack until someone ran out to feed them. The buggers can be pretty loud too!

I don't know anything about ducks, but if you haven't seen it before, here is a site to buy pet penguins www.penguinwarehouse.com

i heard that in some schools, they wait until a duck hatchs and they make a ball, to think its his mother, so the duck would follow the ball, ducks, anyone see 50-first dates??? i liked the penguin, the little guy
