Are there different shedding stages?
Because i First noticed my snakes getting dull color, then a pinkish belly, then the eyes went to a Whitish color and now, the males eyes look normal, no skin to be found around his enclosure.
Am i Missing something? How long is a shed cycle supposed to last and did he finish shedding?
Thanks in advanced
Vince.
Their eyes get cleared up about 1-2 days before they shed. Just make sure you keep the humidity up (60%-75%) and you (or..the snake, lol) should have a clean shed in the next day or so.
I usually record the "whiteness" level of the eyes day to day. 10 being very white, 1 being nearly clear. The last shed cycle my bp had, day to day the numbers were 3, 10, 7, 6, 1, Shed.
I would also say to get that humidity up to at least 80% for the week of the shed cycle, but make sure the snake isn't crawling around in water the entire week.
Thankyou everyone,
When I got home this evening I found that the male did shed, and was so beautiful, and I guess the female has a couple more days more .
Thanks again for the support when I'm so confused
