From my understanding (and don't take this as gospel) envenomations from the eyelash are often successfully treated with Cro-Fab (rattlesnake antivenin). They do have a hemotoxic venom that like all other hemotoxins produced cellular and tissue damage. The captive care of these animals I'm not %100 on as I am still looking to obtain some, but from what I know high humidity, and they don't eat much. Check out www.venomousreptiles.org there should be some info there, and there are some highly skilled people on the site. Not that there aren't here, but that site specializes in hots. All the best from Canada!

There is a reasonably priced book by T.F.H. called "A Guide to Eyelash and Temple Vipers" which is an excellent overview of husbandry of not only these two species but a good general reference guide to the husbandry of arboreal vipers.

Where can you get it? I've been meaning to order it from amazon.com but I was wondering if Chapters could order it in. I have a temple viper and am looking to get an eyelash so I figure it's kind of a must have.
