I was just thinking of getting a membership/subscription to one. Its called reptiles..i guess thats the one your talking about (unless your just saying rep magz in general)..and it was quite interesting. Lots of cool little articles and things about all different types of reptiles. I think im going to subscribe to it sometime this week

It depends. if you are getting a lot of information out of it and you enjoy reading it, keep buying it. If everything you read in there seems like you already know it, and you don't want to spend money on it, don't. I personally don't read it, because I can get all the information I need on this site and others, and I don't like spending money on things I don't need or things that I can save on.

A while ago we got a ball python that didn't fit into the owner's life anymore. Along with it, we got Reptiles issues back to the very first one (there are some missing and some are in rough shape, but for the most part it is a good set). The difference between what was coming out then and what is out now is night and day. Back then, there were comprehensive articles geared towards the intermediate hobbyist. Now, it seems to be largely just care sheets with pretty pictures. Sure, I'll still pick up the odd issue and I still enjoy flipping through them at the pet store, but I much prefer to read the back issues.
Cheers,
Dave

Personally, I love reptiles magazine, and I will be subscribing to it as soon as I can. For now, I just keep my eyes on the magazine rack at the pet store.

I've been a subscriber for years and love it. Although I only collect snakes, I've learned alot about many other reptiles. Also, I love the classifieds in the back.

I find it entertaining and there is some really nice photography but it is about 90 percent advertisements. The article in this months about the horned lizards was pretty good. The bull horned lizard is just crazy looking.

I got into herps before reptiles ever came out. That magazine has made wonders for this hobby back about 13 years ago things were a lot different people have a lot more information on herp then they did in the old days.I think most breeders owe some of there success to reptiles magazine.
