pinky or fuzzy?

Hello all,

What is the rule of thumb in relation to size of snake to mouse, I have a young king (four months) and he is still eating pinkys!

Thanks

the size of the prey should be the girth of the thickest part of the snake or a tinny bit bigger

How big is he?
I would think at four months being fed regularly he is most definitly ready for fuzzies maybe two a t a time. At first give him one and make sure he takes it down and keeps it down. If that doesn't seem to be a problem try 2.

The prey item should be up to 1 1/2 times the thickness of your snake, and should leave a visible lump. This lump will reduce in size and finally disappear in a couple of days as the snake digests the item.
