Post Snakes & Herbalism

I recently bought The Master Book of Herbalism by Paul Beyerl. I found the following things in regards to snakes. I thought some of you might appreciate this.

LAVENDER "It is said to be an herbe which will protect snakes, and has been used in the worship of Goddesses who are associated with serpents."

TURQUOISE "This is definitely a stone of protection. It is said to protect the wearer against snakebite, poisons, blindness, black magick, and gives one the ability to stand in the midst of dangerous and wild beasts, and remain unharmed."

I don't have that one! I have Cunningham's Herbal Encyclopedia or whatever. He didn't have that Lavender fact though about snakes
