I just realized for the last month the dumbass at the rep store i was getting my tings from didnt realize he was giving me rats instead of the mice i needed..thats probably why last week he didnt eat..he prob wouldnt have eating anything for the first month anyways but ANYways im just really happy it ate..ill have feeding pics up in the next hour or so.

LMAO, from mice to jumbo rats is a huge step bud. I don't think there will ever be a point where a BP will be taking jumbos

Congrats! And taking it butt first too? That must be a bp thing. The first two times mine ate, the mouse went down butt first.

That's great he finally ate. How come you didn't point out the guys mistake when he kept giving you rats instead of mice? I agree with mykee, rats are the way to go. The sooner you can get them on them the better for both of you. That snake can defintiely take down much larger meals as well

Our yearling BPs eat one weened rat once a week now and they take them down with no problem at all. I'm glad to hear that your BP is finally eating, but, you should switch it to rats as soon as you can. BPs are heavy bodied snakes, and therefore need bigger prey than just a mouse.
