Winter cool down?

for those who are breeding leos and fat tail
could you please tell me the temperature you are using as
night and day winter temp?
I saw on some site that 20Cday, 15CNight is good but I want
someone who actually did it to say his experience

I never cooled down my leos for breeding.

When I feel the Fat Tail females are ready, I will put them in with the male again, but quite honestly, that is the extent of my effort and I've have no problems thus far.

Back in my Leo days, once they had matured I would put them together in an appropriate sized cage and leave them year round. Again, doing nothing more than keep them together worked quite well for me.

Of course they all had access to a heat source all of the time as well, and I'm sure the ambient temps changed a little throughout the course of the year, but I didn't really record or observe exact temperature changes (though it sure wasn't cold at any point in time )

in a book ive read on them says that if you do want to cool them down for winter to breed them you should be 70-78* during the day and go down to 65-72* at night. Ive never bred em but thats what the book said. I think you should listen to it, imo, just because this guy had so much experience he could write a whole book on it. Whatever you choose hope it goes good for you.

I cooled them at about the temps you are talking about. What I basically do, is unplug their heat pad, and only put a low watt light on a cycle (about 8 hours to start off and drop it to 5 hours a day gradually). My room temp at night reaches betwen 15 and 18 and during the day it rises no more than 23 or 24. It worked really well for me. If you want to have a bigger success, isolate your males.
