Het Red Axanthics Hatching
My last 2 clutches of the season hatched out. It kind of sucks when everything done hatching as you aren't anticipating anything else weird hatching out of the incubators. Oh well......next season will be here soon enough!
Here are some pics of the hatchling "het" Red Axanthic. These were produced from breeding my Red Axanthic male to a normal female. The Red Axanthic is the "Super" and the "het" offspring are all black backs. You could compare the Red Axanthic to a Super Pastel and the Black Backs to Pastels. The Black Backs "Het Red Axanthics" are also hypo axanthic as well. Anyways, here are the pics.

You can see in these pics how the colour on the Black Backs is different as well. Both the Het Red Axanthics and the normals were produced on the same day so their colours are accurate.

Enjoy the pics,
Corey

Looking great as always, Corey. Do you have a picture of a full red axanthic, or is there one in these pics? How much will these hets be?

Corey Woods,
The pics showed up as X's.. I researched what they're linked to (your website) and those pics are down too.. I did find a link to some RA's on k snake.ca Canada..
http://forum.k i n g s n a k e.ca/snakes/messages/12006.html
I like the RA black backs alot.. The RA's are pretty exciting 'cause insted of silver per se, it's like a stone with a tint of red in the black.. Nice..

Ok, now I need to know... how much for the hets???? Those Axanthics are WAY cool! I'm not the biggest BP fan, and I've made no bones about that... but those are just GORGEOUS.

Red Axanthics are priced at $17,500 US each. The Hets are $5000 US for males. I would suspect that all of the animals that are sold will go down to the USA. Ralph Davis bought the only Red Axanthic I've sold (1 of the 2 males that I produced in 2001) and he produced Hets from his male this year as well.
