Talking The wait is over! Velvet Delivers!

Velvet delivered 2 live, 1 stillborn and 2 slugs. These little folks are about 1-1/2 hours old!

Very nice. Im not a snake person, but those look really nice. Its too bad they don't keep their baby colours

Greg West

ps. Is it common for those type of results with the slugs and the stillborn?

Very cool!!! Congrats!! Is 5 a normal clutch for them? Seems kinda small? Course I never bred ETBs before. Just curious.

Those are SO CUTE! I'm curious as to if 5 is a standard clutch as well.

Thanks Guys! We're pretty happy. I think the fact that she is only about 4-1/2 feet and that this is probably her first litter has something to due with the low yield. I was just talking with a friend who has been breeding emeralds for quite some time and he seems to think the same. Velvet was WC and I believe her to be probably 5-6 years old.

Thanks Everyone for the congrats! Our biggest concern seems to be ebbing! Mom ate for the first time since ovulation and about took the tongs with the rat! She is still looking for more! LOL
