You never know....

Last year one of my mexicana females laid a small clutch of eggs. 4-5 were obviously good and there was 1 very bad looking dud. I tossed the dud in a deli cup to dispose of it later... Well.. I forgot to throw it away..
Anyway, after 2 mos. it hatched--no incubation medium-- nothing but an old deli cup.
I had that snake out today and thought I'd post a newer pic of it.
I know I posted one of it as a hatchling.
I almost NEVER toss out "bad" eggs anymore!

Nice going!!!!!!!!I had a surprise double clutch early from one of my scarlet kings and the eggs were laid on dry aspen...I found them days later looking like dry white raisins...I soaked then in very shallow water, then incubated as usual and 4/5 hatched normal...lesson learned...
