My leo - Baby (Warning pics inside)

Well I got some new pics of one of my leos, Baby. I think they are much better than the original ones I took at are in the gallery. I can't believe how her/his spots are appearing! You can't really tell from the pics but there is a big difference from the time that Baby came into my life 'til now. Here is a link to a page with them if I can't get the pics to upload to the post.

Oh quick question too... what are the signs of a carrot tail? Baby has an orangish color appearing after the first dark band on it's tail. Is this a sign or do all leos get this?

Ok onto the pics...

My favorite picture and you can almost see the orangish color on the tail... almost.

My second favorite picture.

Baby is very cute Definitely looks more orange in those pics than the originals... just might be a tang

A lot of leos have a little bit of orange at the top of their tail -- this doesn't necessarily make them carrot tails.. you'll just have to wait and see how much Baby develops. For most people an animal has to actually be from carrot tail bloodlines in order to be called a carrot tail...

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the carrot tail thing but that is good to know... this whole morph/genetic thing is really confusing! I also can't be sure of either of my leo's blood line because they came from Petco and not a breeder.
Baby is defiently more orange than my other leo, Amazon, who is bright yellow. I think I will try to get a picture of them side by side to show the contrast tonight. Last night I could have really used a digital camera because when I walked past the tank they both had their heads sticking out of their coconut hide, it was sooo cute! Hopefully soon... Maybe I will pester my brother for his for a little while...

Oh well talk to you all soon, chores to do... I can't believe I still have chores and I am 20yrs old! Well I guess it is better than paying rent...

Later!

Digi cam pics of Baby

Ok so my brother let me use his camera but the battery died on me so I don't have many pics. Here are a couple I got of Baby. I think they show her color nice enough. I will warn you that the files are large so they may take a while to load!
