I have found some wierd things with my guys
1. They are very social not only with the other red-leggs but with the pacific tree frogs and long-toed salamanders
2.They can do some climbing.
I have found this forum to be a huge problem with mixing species. There aren't many people in this forum educated enough and some even go on about how they've mixed for long periods of time. However, I now feel that since you arrived, a stonger message will be sent out and the arsenal may be stronger ( as I may put it that way ). I will, within the next week, put a post together on mixing species and how important it is not to do so.
Dozer that would be wonderful. I have found so much conflicting info & differing opinions but not much that provides the reasons. I personally have never mixed any species. That doesn't mean I wouldn't but I am big on proper research & want facts to back up what I am told. The biggest debate I have run across so far is between fire-bellied newts & toads. If you have the facts on putting them together/keeping them apart, in specific, that would be great.
Anxiouslt awaiting your post, Dar.
P.S. Been DYING to ask.....are you named after the Dozers from Fraggle Rock ?

I used to keep s pair of these guys. They are great! I love how they look aboreal but stay on the ground IMO, mixing species isn't a good idea however, mixing amphibian species is usually OK. I still wouldn't reccomend doing it but if I must give you one piece of advice, it's never mix any kind of salamander or newt with any type of frog or toad.
Dozer.....Fraggle Rock was a TV show with muppets by Jim Henson. It also went on to be a series of kids books. The 'dozers' were little underground workers.
