I am going to be getting a baby IJCP at the Toronto Expo. I have one last question about the proper care of this specie.
A lot of sites and one book says that it is suitable to keep them at 60-75% humidity. In a different book and on a few sites people state that it is ok to keep them at 60-95%.Is this amount of humidity correct and suitable for an Irian Jaya? I want to know because I am currently maintaining perfect temperatures and humidity in the 80's in a rubbermaid container for when I pick the little guy/gal up.
95 is kinda high.. keeping a humidity that high probably wouldnt cause any problems.. but it'd suck to have to maintain that level.. 60-75% is perfectly fine, and is what i've always gone by as well.
pre-congrats on your IJ. you should post pics
