Sweet! Carpets are great. They have got to be one of the best looking pythons.. or any snake... on the planet!
My new IJ has taken 3 adult mice so far. I've been leaving her alone for now. Maybe next week I'll put her out and have a good look at her...

Thanks guys!! I'm sooooo happy with him... and the carpet addiction begins
Jen, I did indeed get him from Henry at the Burnaby show -- in the nic of time too, just when I was paying for him someone came up and said "oh man, that guy is sold??" -- guess he was going to buy him I saw your girl there too, if I'd had enough money I would've brought both of them home... hehe...

That is very cool Jen!
What kind of enclosure are you keeping your boy in? My female STILL hasn't eaten for me, which is causing me some grief.

Hi Jen,
He's just in a rubbermaid tub right now, with a branch, a water bowl, and some newspaper scrunched up for him to hide under if he wants. He seems to be liking it just fine I see him out at night on the branch, and he hides under the newspaper during the day.. he's eaten twice for me so far, and pooped once... Good luck with your girl, hopefully she'll eat for you soon -- I'm going to try Lukien on a rat today, fingers crossed that he'll take it and not be a pain in the *** to switch over...

Very cool, Jen!
My girl is in a 10 gallon tank with a branch, water dish, and fake plants to hide under. She generally stays up in the fake "tree" i have for her, but still hasn't taken food. I have been trying to give her a rat pup, so I will try a mouse morsel and see if that works.
PS - the pics are VERY cool!

Sure enough! I defrosted a lil mouse for her and she snapped it right up! What a picky little girl. I hope she will change over to rats soon, as I have a bunch of rats breeding for me.
PS - I named her Matilda

Hey Jen,
Glad you like the pics, thanks! Sounds like your girl has a nice house I'll probably be upgrading Lukien soon -- either to a bigger tub, or a tank... haven't decided yet.
Definitely try feeding your girl a mouse -- bet you she'll take it no prob Don't know what it is about IJs and rats, but for some reason they just really seem to prefer mice... and on that note...
Woohoo! Lukien ate a rat fuzzy Hehe... of course it was thawed with a mouse (for one of the other snakes) so that might have helped things along... but I'm still very very happy The thought of feeding 6 mice to a fully grown python just really didn't appeal to me... hehe...

Jen
