hatchlings, juveniles, adults, and sub-adults

At what age does a hatchling/baby become a juvenile and when does a juvenile become an adult. Is juvenile and sub-adult the same thing?

To me a hatchling becomes a juvi around 3-6 months also depending on size. a sub adult and juvi to some people may be the same thing. to me though i would imagine a sub adult would be closer to an adult almost ready to breed but not quite there. i could be wrong but that is my assumption.
