jeff......you are amzed by the smallest of herps and you consider them to be HUGE. but you consider a 4 foot ball python that is as thick as your fore arm to be nothing impressive? you are twisted man....

Dude, how many people have bps. The reason I made a big deal is because I just walked outside and found him. That was just so cool to find one sitting right next to my house. It's not that I'm amazed by the size of it, I'm just amazed I found him!

JD, Nice racer! These guys are quite mean huh?

Heh JD, the only reason I listed those is because I've actually seen them here. I'm sure there are a few I've missed. FL is a great place for herps! Infact, I will go back there today and see if I can catch something else!

And Moosehead, that was a really nice black racer. It was really fun to catch him because he was so fast. I was running as fast as I could to get him!

Lol i love catching racers. it is almost scary, when you see how fast it can move! it was really COOL! I might be gong to texas with "Dozer" this summer if it all works out! florida has TONES of reptiles there. i found more snakes there than Costa Rica! but, sorry to say.. i did like costa rica better :P. next time i go to florida i want to stay for a month. meet up with other reptile people. go herping with them etc. in a few years i might go to australlia! ill talk about that after i go there...lol. anyways i am just blabbing on about nothing now.

I'm pretty sure that racers are the fastest snake in the US. And boy, when you get them mad, they will stirke at you like crazy. I'm lucky that none of his strikes hit me! Be sure to take some pics of your trips! You should PM me when you come down to FL. Maybe we could meet up at the Little Big Econ or something. There is a lot of stuff there. Last time I went, I saw a HUGE snake. About 8' and it was VERY thick. I'm not sure what type of snake it was because it was gone in a flash and I couldn't catch up to it. I would have liked to get a better look at that one. It makes me wonder if someone let their pet snake go, since the size was so huge.
