Eggs
Do eggs dimple just before hatching, or am I thinking of something else?

If so, how soon before?

Yep. The can almost fully cave in. Happens sometimes 24 hours before hatching, sometimes 1-2 weeks before hatching. Depends on the species and sometimes the individual clutch.
