Ouroboros problems

My nine year old Cali King went full on ouroboros for the first time today TWICE when I took him out to feed him. What could be going on? He has a gradient in the tank and nice deep bedding and usually likes to stay burrowed when not warming up. However, I've noticed over the last week or so that he's been spending a weird amount of time directly under the heat lamp and not burrowing at all. Seems weird since the Ohio weather has been warmer lately. He still ate his mouse after just having hand sanitizer in his face twice, so I feel like he was definitely plenty warm... he is wandering around the tank instead of going below to digest as usual or laying still and relaxing. No new bulb, tank hasn't been moved, and he just ate last week like the good boi he is. Been drinking water regularly too and had a good drink a little while after he ate. I couldn't ask for a lower-maintenance pleasure of a snake to own, never a single problem eating/shedding/holding. Should I be worried about my buddy?
